Regular Gatherings The Shire of Blackwater holds fight practices every Sunday afternoon at the Mountain View Xtreme Youth Center (the former Showers United Methodist Church), 1803 West State Street, Olean, from 2:00 p.m through 6:00 p.m. During the summer months, fight practices are held at War Veterans Park on East State Street, Olean. Everyone is invited to attend. Join our calligraphers and illuminators for Scribal Arts gatherings on the second Monday of every month in the conference room of the Olean Public Library, 134 North Second Street (corner of North Second and Laurens Streets), Olean. All skill levels are welcome. Shire business meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month at the Mountain View Xtreme Youth Center (address above) at 6:30 p.m. The entire populace of the shire is encouraged and welcome to attend. Special Events The Shire of Blackwater will be hosting a day-long Scriptorium on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Masonic Temple Building, 124 N. Union St., Olean, NY 14760. There will be a potluck lunch. |
